We were delighted to join the partners of the Congress of HR Professionals, held on 27 October in Warsaw, to introduce the HR group to the innovative i-Sport Fitness Index programme prepared for them, i.e. a physical fitness test for employees. We presented the advantages of the programme both in the form of a lecture and at our stand, where it was possible to test selected sports stations. For the purposes of the project, we have developed 12 physical exercises through which we test the 7 main human motor characteristics: strength, agility, endurance, flexibility, balance, speed, jumping ability. The individual results subjected to the algorithm generate the i-Sport Fitness Index, an indicator of the employee’s overall physical fitness, expressed on a scale of 1 to 10, where the number 5 is the average score for the population. Both the participant and the employer then receive a report containing a detailed analysis of the results. It enables the employee to find out which activities he or she is naturally predisposed to, which motor characteristics are leading and which are worth strengthening and why. The employer, on the other hand, will learn the anonymised results, which will show the characteristics around which it is worth building sports programmes for employees to motivate them to be active, but also identify those areas that are worth looking into and building a proper preventive health programme. Thanks to i-Sport’s many years of experience, it will comprehensively and step-by-step guide HR through a fact-finding and diagnosis, a performance analysis, and advice on the selection of appropriate tools and programmes, up to a programme of cyclical performance testing to check the effectiveness of recommended measures.

It is also worth mentioning the very important integrative aspect. Participants performing a set of exercises experience an atmosphere of togetherness and cheering. What is more, they quickly notice that the fitness tests are so varied that they realise the idea of inclusiveness, and people who are not at all athletic every day find areas in which they are good, which boosts their self-confidence and makes them feel positive about the activity they are doing together.
